The Factory Finder is a comparison tool that helps you shortlist suitable custom product manufacturers based on what you are making, your quantity, timeline, project complexity and priorities around price, quality, speed, reliability, support and transparency.

How are factories scored?

Factories are scored using Pinlord’s review framework across product fit, quality, reliability, value, speed, MOQ suitability, customisation capability, human support and public transparency. The score changes based on your project answers and slider preferences.

Why do results change when I move the sliders?

The sliders change what the tool prioritises. For example, moving toward “Lowest price” gives more weight to value and price-fit. Moving toward “Best quality” gives more weight to quality, reliability and support. This means the best match can change depending on your actual project needs.

Is the Factory Finder only for enamel pins?

No. The Factory Finder can be used for enamel pins, stickers, acrylic charms, patches, apparel, packaging, event merchandise and other custom products.

Do all factories make every product?

No. Some factories are strong specialists, while others offer a broader product range. The Factory Finder gives a much stronger score to factories that are a good fit for the product you selected, and pushes weaker product matches lower.

What does “public transparency” mean?

Public transparency refers to how clearly a factory communicates information such as production process, quality control, support, ethical claims, sustainability practices, location information and public-facing business details. It is not the same as a formal audit or certification.

Should I choose the highest-scoring factory automatically?

Not always. The score is a guide to help you compare options. Before ordering, you should still confirm pricing, production time, minimum order quantity, sample options, artwork requirements and shipping details directly with the factory.

Can I compare factories side by side?

Yes. After finding your recommended matches, you can compare factories side by side to better understand their strengths, limitations and best-use cases.
